Mayor to Seek School Board’s Support at Tonight’s Meeting

Prince George, B.C. – Prince George Mayor Lyn Hall will seek support from the Prince George School Board in a grant application for Masich Place Stadium this evening.

City Council is applying for $3.5 million from a $28.5 million fund created by the Union of B.C. Municipalities to provide money for projects outside of the Lower Mainland. school board

The Board will also hear from the Education and Planning Committee, who have recommended the Board reviews fees annually regarding upgrading courses for graduated adults.

This after the Ministry of Education advised the Board back in December the ministry will no longer be picking up those costs after May 1 this year.

Finally, Superintendent of Schools Brian Pepper, will deliver his 2014-15 semester one class size and composition report.

The meeting starts at 7:00 pm.
