Power of Nature

Prince George, B.C. – As Prince George has been advised it is under a “severe thunderstorm watch”, we wanted to share this amazing photo taken last evening at Purden Lake.A 15 year old took the photo at Nature unleashed a storm that could put any concert light show to shame.
You will notice an object in the left of the photo , that is not a boat, rather it is a swim raft that is fixed to the bottom of the lake.
We thank the young photographer who snapped this shot, and of course give our readers a chance to let him know how amazing the photo really is.

I am very surprised that we have not heard of new fires in the Purden Lake and Bowron Valley. Last night’s light show was a continuos string of lightning. One prolonged strike was in a north/south direction and seemed to just hang over the mountains for perhaps 2 seconds. Definitely one of the most extreme shows I have witnessed.
A truely remarkable picture, taken at exactly the right instant. Congratulations to the young person who took this picture, you hold a promising future in photography.
Hmmm… are the summer storms getting more intense, or is it just my imagination?
And it is not even Summer yet… dun dun dun
Who is the dumb a$$ out there in a boat.
sitting in the boat on a lake in a thunder storm…. your the highest point on a flat surface…. death wish.
@ He spoke; umm… perhaps you should read the second paragraph again in the above story that accompanys the picture.

Don’t think so. Last year they were pretty quiet over all.
A remarkable photo, perfect timing!! A keeper for sure, good job!!
those damn chemtrails causing this weird weather!
Wow! As I am writing this the thunder storm is still going. Nature is awesome and frightening.
He spoke, perhaps you should read the article again…it’s a raft, not a boat!!
