Prince  George, B.C. – Northbound lanes of the John Hart Highway in Prince George  are closed  at Northwood Pulpmill  Road this hour.

A crash  in the northbound lanes just north of that  intersection, has forced the closure of that  portion of the highway.  Northbound traffic is being detoured  around the crash site  along Northwood Pulpmill Road.

Southbound traffic is not  affected.

The  crashalso knocked out power to  more than 2800 BC Hydro customers  in the area.  B.C.  Hydro  says the outage extended east to Shelly and  as far north as Turner road.  Power has since  been  restored..
