Prince George, B.C. – The Northern Sport Centre and University Way the venues for today’s 4th annual Storm the Hill event.

There have been over 100 competitors entered in the past couple of years and the aim this year, according to organizers, was to have 150 people sign up to take part in one of the three endurance tests offered.  They ended up with 178 participants.

Competitors could run 5 kilometres, 10 kilometres or take part in the Sprint Duathlon, which is not for the faint of heart.  It starts off with a 5 km run, followed by a 20 km bike ride and completed with another 5 kilometre run.  The athletes could compete individually or on a team basis.

Storm the Hill racing began under a sunny sky at 9:30 this morning.

With the completion of the event, participants are treated to a barbecue put on by UNBC Food Services along with a presentation of prizes.
