Prince George, B.C. – It may seem hard to believe, but the countdown to this year’s Festival of Trees has already begun.

This year’s event will take place from November 20-29th at the Civic Centre and organizers have set a goal of having 100 decorated trees on display to celebrate Prince George’s centennial anniversary.

“We are at the half way point,” says festival coordinator Shirli-Gene Sadowick. “Over 50 trees have been confirmed. Some sponsors are new, others have been with us since the start. We really encourage your business, organization, class, sports team or family to play a part this year.”

She says the deadline for tree sponsorship is October 23 and advises anyone interested to contact the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation office at 250-565-2515.

Tickets for all events such as the Fashion Show, Senior’s Tea/Lunch and brunches go on sale at the Spirit office on October 1. General Admission will be available at the door during the 10 day event.
