Prince George, B.C. – Motorists are advised to watch for traffic direction signs as the final road rehabilitation project of 2015 proceeds over the next few days.

The re-paving of 15th Avenue between Ospika and Foothills is scheduled to take about five days to complete, depending on weather conditions.  Milling of the existing road surface has been completed, with the westbound lanes done first and the eastbound lanes completed on Tuesday.  That should clear the way for paving to begin today, providing the weather co-operates.

Motorists should note that there are “Road Closed” signs on 15th at Foothills; there are “Road Closed” and “Detour” signs all along Tabor starting at 5th Avenue to advise drivers that they won’t be able to access 15th.  Tabor is barricaded at Antler Avenue, the last street before 15th, to prevent vehicles from proceeding further; and finally, 15th is closed at Ospika, although you can still access Tim Horton’s, Lakewood Dental and other businesses via the frontage road paralleling 15th.

Everyone, just be a bit paitent. It will be back to normal soon, and we will have smooth non coffee slip roadways.

Thank you Colin Kinsley for making the Gas deal so many years ago, to allow for this money to be made available for us to fix our roads, 10-15 years later.

As I was stopped at the red light at the Hart and Northwood yesterday, I took a look at the crew. One guy in a bobcat, two guys with shovels filling in a hole, two guys watching the guys shoveling and one person leaning on a broom.

I thought to myself, this is what it’s going to be like if the NDP gets elected.

Getting onto the frontage road from Ospika is a problem – most people were going through Timmy’s parking lot!

Axman, you are a dolt. Stop picking on people working for a ‘wage’ not a ‘salary’. You would have the guy wih the broom sweeping like a maniac just to look busy, before the shovel clean up is done? And what does The Hart and Northwood have to do with 15th paving? Oh, right, any chance to slander people who don’t get a chance to defend why they are doing their job the way they are doing it. Why don’t you take the time to phone the supervisor with your complaint and highly regarded suggestions, along with your name and contact info. I wish i could nit pick you at your job all day with anonymity. God man, get some new material or shut up.

I seem to have struck a nerve with you. Let me guess, you’re one of those lazy asses sucking away on the taxpayer’s teat? How many hours a day do you spend standing around pretending to be busy? 3? 4? Heck, the entire 7 and a quarter hours?

Ya you struck a nerve with me. And no, im not a teat sucker. Like i said get some new material, if i had a dime for everytime i had to see you write “tax payers teat” id retire. No i dont stand around all day. Im actualy on days off at the moment, hence my posting during “work” hours. How about you? 9:47am and 11:23am dont strike me as break times, but your dont pound the pooch right? You gotta be the hardest worker ever, and the smartest too. Like i said before dude, call in, ask these guys’ foreman or supervisor why they are not doing the task/job your way (constructive critisism), or apply for a teat suckin job and run the world your way (be part of the solution), or accept that you are a bitter, whinny joke that spouts off every chance he/she gets as long as no one knows who you are (reality).

And who the f works “an entire 7 and a quarter” hours as a work day?
