Elections Canada Still Hiring
Prince George, B.C. – Looking to make a quick buck?
Then look no further than Elections Canada who are still hiring for both this weekend’s advance polls and on general election day (Oct. 19) in the Cariboo-Prince George and Prince George-Peace River-Northern Rockies ridings.
“We are very much in hiring mode,” says spokesperson Dorothy Sitek. “We’re talking about Quesnel, Williams Lake, Prince George, Fort Nelson, Chetwynd and Valemount.”
She notes there are roughly 100 jobs still available in each riding for a variety of positions.
“Everything from poll clerk, information officer to deputy returning officer and central poll supervisors.”
Sitek says the pay ranges from an hourly rate of $13.15 to the high end of $21.25 adding the best way to apply is online (though you can still apply in person).
“We do encourage people to do it online because the form is right there, it’s very easy to do and if you make sure you fill in the required fields it means the people who are hiring will be able to confirm your eligibility based on the information you provide.”
In order to qualify for a job she says you must be a Canadian citizen, live in the electoral district you’re applying in, and be at least 16 years old on election day.

I have worked for Elections Canada since the 80’s. Good way to earn a little coin-thinking ahead to Christmas spending!
worked it before and would do it again if i wasnt already working 2 jobs, it was a very interesting process for sure and extra spending money.
I applied online over a month ago , yet to hear back from them.
