Prince George, B.C. – Prince George Cougars forward Jesse Gabrielle has been named WHL Player of the Week.
It was a stellar week for the Moosomin Saskatchewan native, who scored five goals and added two assists in just four games.
In fact it’s been an impressive start to the year for Gabrielle, who leads the Cats in goals and points with nine goals and two assists in just 11 games.
“Since arriving in Prince George, Jesse hasn’t missed a beat,” says Cougars coach Mark Holick. “He’s worked tremendously hard and has been rewarded appropriately for his efforts.”
Gabrielle is the third Cougar in as many years to receive a Player of the Week Honour. The others were Jansen Harkins last March and Todd Fiddler in January, 2014.
