Prince George, B.C. – A 25 year old weather record has fallen in Prince George.
Today’s high of 6.9 degrees out at YXS broke a record set this day back in 1990 when it reached 6 degrees.
“Clearly we’ve been having a stretch of warmer than normal temperatures in Prince George,” says Environment Canada meteorologist Alyssa Charbonneau.
“It’s interesting today the record was broken first thing this morning (5am). From there there was a cooling trend down to about four degrees.”
As for tomorrow she says a high of 3 is now expected (revised from earlier today) which is a ways from the record of 7.2 set back in 1957.
