Prince George, B.C. – Prince George can expect another 2 centimeters of snow before this  system clears the area.

Prince George received 18-20 centimeters (approx. 7.5 inches)  of fresh snow over the past 24 hours.

City Crews are  out in full force, with graders and loaders clearing priority one and priority two routes in the orange and red zones, as per the City’s garbage collection map, including on Ospika Blvd., Victoria St., and Upland St.

Snow plows and trucks continue to carry out operations, including laying down traction and de-icing material, on routes around the city, such as:

  • University Way
  • Ospika Blvd. from Tyner to Range Rd.
  • Foothills Blvd. north of Chief Lake Rd.
  • North Nechako Rd.
  • Chief Lake Rd.
  • Routes in west, east, and central Hart Hwy.
  • The Blackburn area on Foreman and Denacola Rds.
  • College Heights including Westgate, Hillcrest, Lalonde, and Western Acres

Sidewalk machines are clearing sidewalks today between 5th and 22nd Aves, south of 22nd, and north of 5th Ave.

Motorists are reminded to drive to conditions at all times.

Environment Canada says  once this  system clears the region,   the temperature will be cooler, but there should be plenty of  sunshine for much of the week.

I guess it’s a good thing for anyone who received snow toys for Christmas :)

The Hartic might have more than 2cm of snow.

X-it, hahahaha, good one. Yup, just shovelled 6″ from last night, wife’s car had at least 10″ on it.

Someone with a snow toy did our alley! Wahoooo!!!
It sure is pretty outside!

I’m happy I bought that new snow blower now.

I don’t know whos driving that front end loader, but he needs to show the guy that runs it how to do it in on killoren street, the guy that does it up here leaves more than he takes, then compacts it driving over it.

If they are doing College Heights…. WHY ddn’t they do Domano???? Makes no sense

We’ve got 30 cm as of this a.m.
Still amazes me the people that don’t clean off their cars or drive for the conditions.Welcome to winter!

little old fashioned but lets say it was 10 inches at the house this am plus all days snow. pretty dang close to a foot!
