Prince George, B.C. – A busy Sunday night for Prince George Fire Rescue.

Assistant Chief Denis Poulin says crews responded to a fire just before 11 p.m. at the Lauraville Apartments located in the 1800 block of Spruce Street.

He says they arrived to find smoke coming from one of the apartment units on the main floor.

Poulin says crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly though they found a lone male inside the apartment unconcious. The man was later rushed to hospital by B.C. Ambulance.

Fire damages are estimated at around $35,000 and has been deemed suspicious.

The RCMP has been called in to help determine a cause.
