RCMP Corporal Craig Douglass says police received the report of a possible kidnapping just before 1:00 p.m. this afternoon.
“Police were advised that an adult male was seen pushing an adult woman in a wheel chair out of the hospital and forcing her into a vehicle against her will,” he says.
“Checks with the hospital have found that a 50 year old female Prince George resident is unaccounted for. She was not discharged and is in need of medication.”
Douglass says officers believe the suspect is Lash Leroux. He is described as 44 years old, 5’10” tall, weighing 181 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.
He says Leroux should be considered violent and not be approached. Douglass adds the suspect and victim are known to each other.
The vehicle is described as a late ’80s or early ’90s red Honda hatchback bearing BC license plate number 425 FRH. Douglass says computer checks of those plates have found them to have been reported stolen.
