Just days after being named the Cougars’s Most Valuable Player at the team’s awards banquet, the WHL has named the Prince George native a second team Western Conference All-Star.
It’s been a banner year for Witala, not only did he lead the club in scoring with 79 points (40 goals and 39 assists), but he also reached 239 career points, a franchise record.
“In a season full of milestones, it’s great to see Chase receive this type of recognition from other head coaches and general managers around the WHL,” says Cougars coach Mark Holick.
“He is the type of player who in every way possible personifies what it means to represent the Prince George Cougars and the City of Prince George, and he is very deserving of this honour.”
