Crews Make Progress on Nazko Fire

Quesnel, B.C. – The wildfire burning northwest of Nazko and 90 Kms west of Quesnel is now 40% contained.
The wildfire, which was first reported on Friday, the 8th, is 398 hectares in size. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
BC Wildfire Service information Officer Emily Epp says if the weather continues to cooperate, the fire could be fully contained by tomorrow.
As of this morning, there are 55 firefighters, 3 dozers, 1 water tank truck and one helicopter working the fire.
