Prince George, B.C. – Bargain hunters beware.

The Prince George Legion will be hosting a garage sale and barbecue by donation at Northland Hyundai in the Gateway (2021 Highway 16) today.

“Basically Hyundai approached us to help raise money for our legion,” says spokesman Joe Elliott. “We have everything from children’s toys to office furniture and desks.”

He says the proceeds will be used a few different ways.

“Our number one purpose is always to look after our veterans. Number two is to keep the poppy in the minds of Canadians and remind people about remembrance and we also help out with local causes.”

The garage sale goes from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. while the BBQ will from run from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
