Prince George, B.C. – Sunday’s so called ‘back road cleanup’ has been hailed a success.
4 -10 gallon pails of paint collected
A joint initiative between concerned citizens and the Spruce City Wildlife Association, spokesman Steve Hamilton says it resulted in quite the haul.
“We had about 30 volunteers and filled a 30-yard bin in 90 minutes in the first 200 yards of road.”
He says they collected everything from paint and tires to fridges, freezers and chairs.
“We will definitely need another event there with more bins.”

Get a 1000 bins and stick them all over the back country so people can throw their junk in them. Or admit they made a big mistake charging fees at the dump. But I just do not see that happening so the new norm is picking up thousands of tons of garbage all over the back country, year after year.
I wonder if you can trace the bar codes back to the purchaser. Anybody know?
Thank you to everyone who pitched in this make this work. Fantastic job. The LC Gunn trail is a treasure to have so close to town. Again, thank you!!!!
