Ambulance prepares to leave PGARA-photo 250News

Prince George, B.C.  –  A driver  in the Hornets series at PGARA  speedway in Prince George has suffered undetermined  injuries and has been taken to hospital   following a crash at the raceway this afternoon.Witnesses say one of the cars hit the wall in turn one,  and  in an effort to avoid the  crashed vehicle,   the vehicle being driven by Andrew Oviatt  hit the wall.

Oviatt’s car was taken into the pit area where emergency personnel could  extricate him from the  car.

The  condition of the  driver of the first  car to hit the wall is not  immediately known  he was checked by paramedics, but only  Oviatt was taken to hospital.

Oviatt was in second place in points in the Hornets series  this year  until today’s crash.
