Ride Don’t Hide Event Set for Sunday
Prince George, B.C.- There is still time to get the bike ready for the Ride Don’t Hide event set for Sunday in Prince Georg
The ride is aimed at raising awareness about mental health, and for a registration fee, bicycle riders can choose the length of ride that suits their abilities as there are routes for 6km, 10 km, 20km and 30 km. Only the 30 km route includes the University Way hill.
Prince George is one of 30 communities in five provinces taking part in this event. Locally, the event hopes to raise $15 thousand dollars. All proceeds from the PG event will be staying in Prince George to provide education services through the delivery of Living Life to the Full and Mental Health First Aid.
You don’t need to have a bike in order to take part, as there will be a Kids Zone set up at the event site which is at the CN Centre parking lot and you can buy a hot dog or hamburger, listen to an onsite DJ and check out the information available at the resource table.
Registration for riders is from 9 am to 9:30 . The ride starts at 10:15 with 50 to 100 riders leaving from the CN Centre parking lot.
