Go For Green at REAPS
Prince George, B.C. – Today marks the start of Go for Green Week with activities at the REAPS Compost Demonstration Garden on Gorse Street through to next Saturday.
And, with kids now being out of school REAPS is offering free daily recycled crafts for kids from 1 to 4 pm each day. Recycled crafts are any sort of crafts that previously have been used for something else and can be turned into something else to get the youngsters involved. All your child has to do is show up, there is no schedule and if it’s raining things are moved indoors.
There are also garden tours, 8:30 to 4:30 each day during the week, and today and Wednesday you can take in a composting demonstration. There are workshops on how to get started on backyard composting at 2pm and vermicomposting workshops, which is indoor composting with worms, at 3:15 pm on those days. Everyone is welcome no matter what your age.
REAPS is located at 1950 Gorse Street.
