Prince George, B.C. – There is a lot of traffic on area highways this B.C. Day weekend and a few of those vehicles tangled near Red Rock late this morning.
One person was taken to University Hospital of Northern B.C. for treatment of unspecified injuries following a three-vehicle smash-up around 11:10 Saturday morning on Highway 97 south at Courval Road. Highway traffic was very heavy at the time.
Word from the scene was that the three vehicles were all heading south when one slammed into the back of another and then was hit in the trunk by the third vehicle. There was fairly substantial damage to one of the vehicles involved.
Police speak with drivers at Highway 97 and Courval Road while volunteer firefighters assist.
The RCMP is urging motorists to drive with caution, allow plenty of room between yourself and other vehicles and exercise patience on this very busy weekend.

Idiots!
The deer survived. Scared the hell out of it, though.
I see a lot of people not giving much thought to their stopping distance on the highways these days.
I guess two of those vehicles should be given a “following too close” ticket.
Maybe they think they are “drafting” the vehicle ahead of them but in reality they are endangering that other vehicle and themselves.
