Prince George, B.C.-  One person was  treated for smoke inhalation  as a result of a fire in a home  in the 1700 block of Gorse street this afternoon.

Prince George Fire  Rescue responded to the scene  around  4:00 this afternoon to find thick black  smoke coming from the front and side doors of the home.

The fire was confined to the kitchen area where it was quickly knocked down.

All occupants were outside by the time crews arrived.

The cause of the  fire is under investigation. Damages are estimated at $50,000.
