Abbotsford, B.C. –  A 21 year old male of no fixed address has been formally charged in yesterdays stabbings  at Abbotsford Senior Secondary.

21 year old Gabriel Brandon Klein has been charged with Second Degree Murder and Aggravated Assault.

Police say   the victim who  died was a 13 year old girl,  while the one who remains in hospital is 14.

The Integrated Homicide Investigations Team (IHIT)  which is  investigating  this tragedy  say  evidence suggests this incident to be random, that  the  suspect is not believed to have any ties to the school or to  the  victims, or  to the Abbotsford area.

Police say  Klein is of no fixed address and has been known to frequent the Vancouver area since February/March of this year. Prior to landing in Vancouver he was known to be in the Alberta area.

Police are  asking anyone that has had contact with Klein, whether it be social media, email, or face-to-face, to bring information forward to investigators.
