Prince George, B.C. – For the second time this week, Prince George Airport Emergency Services personnel were in place and ready in the event a Pacific Coastal charter flight didn’t land safely.
The pilot indicated there was a possibility of an issue with the landing gear. A flypast the tower confirmed the landing gear was in position, and the Beechcraft made a safe landing.
While emergency personnel from the City of Prince George and Pineview Volunteer Fire Department were heading to the airport to assist the Airport’s emergency team, they were told to stand down, as the plane had landed safely.
Earlier this week, a WestJet flight from Vancouver to Terrace diverted to Prince George because of concerns over the nose gear not deploying properly. That flight also landed safely. ( see previous story)

Umm what are you talking about ..
All commercial aircraft must undergo regular maintenance and inspection regardless how big or small the company or planes are its mandated by federal law and only certified aviation mechanics are allowed to work on commercial aircraft and all commercial aircraft must meet stringent regulations set by the federal government, the companies policies and air worthiness orders set forth by the CTSB in order to be allowed to fly commercially
Couple burnt out light bulbs/proximity switches, err on the side of caution folks.
