Prince George, B.C. – Members of the New Hazelton RCMP detachment are investigating a fatal motor vehicle accident which occurred overnight on Highway 16, 10 kilometres west of Moricetown and 36 kilometres west of Smithers.
Information is sparse because the investigation is continuing and clearing of wreckage has not been completed at the scene however 250 News has learned that a semi-trailer unit hit a moose which was then propelled into an oncoming pick-up truck. One person in the pick-up was killed.

Sad outcome, very unfortunate. My condolences to the family, and I hope the semi driver receives a debriefing and not go it alone!
