Prince George, B.C. – Search and Rescue crews are trying to locate two snowmobilers who have been reported missing this weekend in the 100 Mile House area.

An RCMP spokesperson in Kelowna says details about the snowmobilers and their whereabouts are sketchy at this time, adding that airborne resources are being gathered to conduct an aerial search of the 100 Mile area.

The spokesperson says there has been some confusion about the search as a television station broadcast reports of two snowmobilers missing near Valemount.  He says “we don’t have anybody missing in Valemount, but we are looking for two sledders in 100 Mile House.  I don’t know how the mix-up occurred.”

Further information about the 100 Mile Search is expected later today however the spokesperson says “I know the boys there are pretty busy right now” dealing with the search.
