RDFFG Approves Budget

Prince George, B.C.- The Regional District of Fraser Fort George has approved its budget for 2017, and it calls for operating expenses of just over $46 million dollars.
Of that budget, nearly half ($20.4 million) will be eaten up by solid waste management. Other significant expenditures are:
- Protective Services ($5.7 million,)
- 9-1-1 Emergency Response Services $3.5 million, and
- Recreation and Cultural Services representing $3.6 million.
Overall, the amount needed from taxes for the budget is $18,562,730 which is a 2.81% increase over last year.
Because different areas within the Regional District have differing services provided by the RDFFG, the requisition varies throughout those areas
The cost per thousand dollar of assessment also has variations based on changes to the assessments:
