Emergency crews on scene of  minor fire – photo 250News

Prince George, B.C. –  Intercon Pulp was the site of a minor fire earlier today.

The fire broke out  at the chip infeed,  where  raw material enters the mill.

Canfor says it’s internal fire control system  kicked in to contain the fire, and employees  followed all  procedures, which included  calling the Prince George Fire rescue service.

The  fire department  responded  quickly.

Damage is said to be minimal,  and  there were no injuries.

Canfor says  crews are now “focussed on getting things back to normal operations.”
