Prince George, B.C. – The Wilson Square Farmers’ Market is on the move again.
After moving away from the steps of the Prince George Courthouse to the Pine Centre Mall parking lot last year, this time they’re headed to the west parking lot of the Prince George Native Friendship Centre.
It all starts Saturday May 6 and as always will run from 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Organizers have billed the new downtown location as “easy to access” with “a huge variety of local produce, baking and crafts.”

Niceeee
It is a shame that something so pure and simple as a Farmers Market has to become so political and divided as has happened here in PG. Wilson Square was a great location. I hope this new location will be well received and that they keep it here for more than one season
It’s incredible that there is no dedicated market place for locals to sell to locals in PG . That’s what grown up cities do . Eatlocal.org
pretty hard to find a place easier to access than the Pince Center.
but hey, what do I know.
hahahaha…….
Here’s an idea! They could co-locate with the permanent farmers market beside the Keg! It’s so logical! Oh wait..people are too pesky to actually work together for the betterment of the community.
I’m sure farmersmarketpg.ca would appreciate any and all input . It’s not a car dealership but it still needs the same perks and respect .
One parking lot didn’t work so they are going to try another one? Do they not realize that their customers want one market in one location? That’s why they build malls.
