Quesnel, B.C. –  A jewellery store in Quesnel  was  hit by  thieves early this morning.

Quesnel RCMP  say they responded to a report of a Break and enter to a business  in the 200 Block of Reid Street around 4 this morning.

Thieves  used a vehicle to  smash  the wall of the business  to gain entry..

Police are still on scene waiting for the Forensic Identification Section to complete their  search of the scene for any evidence left by the suspects.

The cost of the damage to the building and product loss from inside is unknown at this time.

The investigation into this matter is very active and will be ongoing. Investigators are asking anyone who may have seen any movement around the building or area anytime on Monday May 29 that appeared to be out of the ordinary or anyone on or near Reid Street between 3:45 am to 4:00 am early Tuesday morning to call Quesnel RCMP at (250) 992-9211.
