One Dead in Crash on 97 North
Prince George, B.C. – One person has died in a crash on Highway 97 North, about 33 kms north of the Mackenzie Junction.
Details are not yet available, however it is known it was a single vehicle crash.
Highway 97 is closed in both directions until a traffic analyst arrives on scene, and the scene can be cleared.
This is the second known fatal crash in the region today, and there have been two other collisions which have left people with serious life threatening injuries.
Earlier today, one person died in a single vehicle crash 21 kms east of Purden. Highway 16 remains in a single vehicle alternating traffic pattern.
There was a serious crash on the Blackwater, details have not been released, but serious injuries have been incurred.
There was a single motorcycle crash in the south of Quesnel. The rider suffered serious injuries.
