It has been confirmed to 250 News this afternoon that at approximately 2 a.m. Saturday an SUV left Highway 27 at the intersection with Echo Lake Road, 27.6 kilometres north of Vanderhoof. The vehicle struck a hydro pole and flipped in the ditch.
Two male occupants said to be from the local area died in the crash. Their identities have not been released.

Police are asking any witnesses to the crash to contact the Vanderhoof RCMP detachment at (250) 567-2222.
Highway 27 was closed for several hours but is open to single-lane alternating traffic, according to the RCMP.
This isn’t surprising either. Many drivers on that hwy drive like idiots, including the commercial guys.
Editor’s note: Let’s recognize that two people have lost their lives, one of whom was not driving, and keep the discussion civil please.
and Dumbfounded was saying that if People DID NOT drive like idiots there would not be 2 people died.
Thank you Don
