Quesnel, B.C. – Human remains have been discovered along the banks of the Fraser River in Quesnel.
Quesnel RCMP Sgt. Chris Riddle says police found the remains Monday near the plywood plant.
He says RCMP and the BC Coroner Service have confirmed the deceased to be the same man who fell into the Fraser just upstream from this location in the early morning hours of June 24, 2017.
“Quesnel RCMP would like to thank the Quesnel Search and Rescue volunteers for their efforts in the search,” says Riddle.
The investigation has been turned over to the BC Coroners Service. The man’s name will not be released.
