Prince George, B.C. – The Cariboo Regional District has issued an Evacuation Order for the area north of McCauley Lake to the Gavin Lake area.

The order, issued today at 3:15 pm, replaces the North of McCauley Lake order which was issued on August 8th.  Due to immediate danger to life safety due to fire, members of the RCMP or other groups will be expediting this action.

The evacuation route is Beaver Valley Road and Gavin Lake Road west to Likely Road, then to Williams Lake.

Evacuees are to register at the ESS in Williams Lake at Boitano Mall between 10 am and 4 pm.  Those requiring group lodging will have to continue on to the ESS Reception Centre in Prince George at the Civic Centre, 808 Canada Games Way.
