Vehicle Taken Down at Gunpoint in Dawson Creek

Prince George, B.C.- A 28 year old man is in custody facing several charges following a take down in Dawson Creek.
 
RCMP say the Dawson Creek detachment got a call from a woman saying she was in a vehicle with her husband and he was assaulting her. She also told police he had a gun.
 
Police intercepted the vehicle on Highway 2 and forced the drive to pull over.
 
The vehicle was taken down at gun point and the suspect ordered to exit the vehicle and lie face down on the road.
The man was arrested without incident or injury.
 
The victims had suffered minor cuts and bruising prior to the police becoming involved.
 
Police seized a 7 mm rifle from the vehicle and the suspect had several rifle rounds in his possession.
 
The suspect is expected to appear in Dawson Creek court on multiple assault and weapons related charges.
Names will not be released in order to protect the identity of the victim.

Years ago, every second truck had a hunting rifle on the rack or behind the seat. Nowadays, one has to be much more suspicious when people are packing guns and it's not hunting season. Just what did this fellow have in mind? Chester
