Prince George, B.C.- Since the gang shooting of last week, residents of Prince George are keeping their ears open.
Sunday saw RCMP following up plenty of calls of “gunshots” that turned out to be fireworks. One officer says everyone seems to be a little on edge, but even though the calls turn out to be firecrackers, “We would rather they call and let us check it out, than let it slip and have a real shooting go without being investigated.”
Last Wednesday a 19 year old was shot several times in a shooting in the 5th and Brunswick area of town. The attack was targeted and gang related.   Three people have been charged in connection with the shooting.

If they're on edge then why don't they fight back? It could be great fun that would provide countless hours of entertainment.

Put up some flash bulbs all around the trouble spots in hidden locations and then flash them with a remote control device from a remote location. The gang banger fools would easily think someone is taking pictures and they would want to get out of dodge as quick as possible. They don't like having their picture taken. Put the gang bangers on edge... just move the flash bulbs around from time to time and don't over use it so they don't get accustom to whats up....
Why not pass a bylaw banning all those 'known to police' gangers from the city of PG? If they can do it with an aggressive panhandler why not with a gang member?
Living on edge would make you a thinner target, right?

i bet if we ended up fighting back, we'd be the unlucky ones who actually had to spend time in jail.
The gang members have lived by the sword long enough now its time they start dying by the sword because thats the only accountability they will face for their actions. Sad to say that but our farce of a justice system doesnt hold anyone accountable for their actions.
I agree northman
So we finaly made the "Big City News". Dam poor shots they couldnt even kill the guy.

How come we didntm get edgy in some of the other shootings that have taken place in the city and there have been a number.

And its not the justice system that is failing us. As Ben has pointed out in another post its our politicians that need a wakeup call.

Cheers
Remember that gangs can and should fall under the same laws as terrorist. That is how they operate and how they should be dealt with!
Maybe hizzoner the mayor could set up a task force. You know, concerned citizens, the cops and last of all, councillors who may be running again in November. And we could all talk about it and maybe solve the problem. Talking solves a lot of problems. It works in Sri Lanka, Iraq, Colombia, Haiti, you know, everywhere.
