Preliminary Numbers for Terry Fox Run

Prince George, B.C. - This year's Terry Fox Run appears to be in line with last year's numbers. “In total, we had 648 participants and the money that we received onsite was about $12,500,” event coordinator Liza Arnold says.

She says they still have online donations and pledges to count. “[last year], by the time all the online and all that stuff... we were up to $18,000 and so far we're on the right track.”

During last year's 5 kilometer run, approximately 700 participated in the race.

Since Terry Fox's Marathon of Hope, over $400 (m) million dollars of money has been raised for Cancer research.
