Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George Airport is reminding passengers to check the website for updated schedules, cancellations or delays due to fog within the next couple of weeks.

Communications and Business Manager for the Prince George Airport Authority, Mike Davis says there are a few times per year fog effects the airport, “We seem to get some short patches during Spring, usually March) and then again in the Fall for some of September or October where we get a really thick fog that prevents us from flying.  With Fall officially here on Monday we want to make sure our guests are aware of any interruptions to their flights.”

Air Canada cancelled two flights this morning and passengers were re-accommodated on the next available flight. Westjet was delayed 45 mins and Central Mountain Air was delayed for 2 hours until the fog burned off around noon.
