Councilor Sherry Sethen's Campaign Manager, David McWalter was supposed to be  no longer working on her campaign, following an incident  involving this website.

On October 19th, two comments were made on Opinion 250 that were signed ‘Mrs. Meisner”.  One contained remarks about the Editor of this web site the other pointed the finger at two candidates running for City Council. The comments were not made by “Mrs. Meisner” Because of their nature they were removed from the site and cannot be repeated.

Opinion 250 was able identify the computer from which these messages were sent as belonging to David McWalter, campaign manager for City Council candidate Sherry Sethen.

On October 20th, McWalter issued an apology and said he was in fact the originator of those comments. He said ‘I would like to stress that Councilor Sherry Sethen was not aware of my actions. Subsequent to the receipt of your e-mails, I have advised Councilor Sherry Sethen that I can no longer be associated with her re-election campaign in any way”. In a follow up interview, Councilor Sethen said she in no way had any part in McWalter's comments nor did she condone them.

In recent days Opinion 250 has been told from persons working on Sethen’s re-election that McWalter was back working for her campaign. Councilor Sethen says “Mr. McWalter has been talking with me offering me assistance as a friend."  She adds,  "I am acting as my own campaign manager."

Ya, I bet he's only offering assistance. Your answer Ms Sethan smacks too much of a typical Liberal response. You've learned well from the Chamber's buddy Gordo. Don't count on my vote.
Mr. McWalter directly represents some of the largest developers in Prince George as their land use and engineering consultant)

Think shopping centres, residential subdivisions, mixed use developments, etc.

Think casinos, pubs, restaurants, etc.

Think applications to Council for rezoning, zoning variances, development permits, etc.

How in the world can he be involved, in ANY way, with a City Council candidate's election campaign?

And who was the brainiac that thought he would be an appropriate CAMPAIGN MANAGER for Sherry Sethen??

Am I missing something here???
Speaking of land developers, is one Harry Bachlin going to be spreading money around again this election. If memory serves he donated to a lot of aldermen and the mayor last time around. Conflict?
