Prince George Regional Hospital, as well as facilities in Mackenzie, McBride, and Valemount will benefit from the $1 million dollar cheque presented today to Northern Health for minor capital and equipment needs in the upcoming fiscal year.

At the top of the wish list, is $200,000 earmarked for surgical materials for plastic surgeries.
Other items on the priority list include: intravenous pumps, infant ventilators and newborn isolettes, a new palliative care room at McBride Hospital and some important pieces of medical equipment in Valemount and Mackenzie.
Northern Interior Chief Operating Officer Michael McMillan says the Regional Hospital District is very important, "Local government agencies such as regional hospital districts are key players in improving health facilitise and patient care equipment". Northern Health works with the Fraser Fort George regional Hospital District and five other regional hosopital districts across the north.
