Expand the survey? You Bet!

A survey on gaming revenue in Prince George will be expanded.

The decision came despite concerns from Councilor Dan Rogers  who says says there is little point in adding additional groups into the mix for input into gaming in the city, when, if you want, you can get the kind of response you need and the whole exercise by the City is a waste of the City Administration's time.   In other words, the survey  is being expanded until it produces the results you want.

Council had been asked to allow the inclusion of a number of groups who had previously not been contacted to receive their views on gaming revenue in the city. Councilor Sherry Sethen  asked of Council whether these groups are aware when they come calling for gaming revenue that the slot machines popping up in Bingo halls goes direct to the province not to the charities.   She was told that was not the issue they were dealing with.

Both Dan Rogers and Councilor Brian Skakun voted against the proposal saying it is a waste of city hall staff time.
