Peeping Tom Sentenced

Prince George, B.C.- It will be 30 months probation and a prohibition from owning a camera or entering a women's washroom for Ron Ballard.

The 50 year old electrician has been sentenced in the case of voyeurism at the Prince George Airport.

In May of 2007, Ballard was arrested after a staff member noticed a hole in the ceiling of the women's washroom. It turns out there was a camera on the other side of that ceiling.

In handing down sentence, Justice Michael Brecknell called this an unusual offence that invaded the privacy of women and ordered Ballard to continue counselling.

Ballard and his wife no longer live in Prince George.

whitewater, it says he was an electrition...think about it...the airport has electricty, he is an electrition, therefore, he probably worked in the womans washroom doing electrical!

You mean a skinner ain't a guy what removes the coats from fur bearers?
30 months probation is a joke, but so is our 'justice' system. Prohibited from owning a camers? ha ha ha ha ha ha
so he can't have a cell phone (with a camera in it)? I doubt the Williams Lake RCMP are going to monitor his every movement and check him for illegal cameras.
Some punishment.

I agree, Ron Ballard got off scott free.

There should be jail time for staking out a girls bathroom with a hidden camera. This sentence is no deterrent at all. I remember a few years ago the guy with the local tanning salon in town that was doing same thing got nothing either (he too fled town when he realized everyone was going to kick his asz)... probably where Ron got his idea from.

...and another thought - most 50 year old men I know are actively trying to avoid any more women in their lives....
