Prince George, B.C.- The investigation into the bombing of three EnCana pipelines in the Dawson Creek area has turned to the public for information.

Part of the investigation into the October bombings is the threatening letter that was mailed to several media outlets in the Dawson Creek area. Those letters were posted at the Shoppers Drug Mart in Dawson Creek.   Police have seized the security video from that postal outlet and are looking to talk with 8 people who are captured on the video.

Police ask that if you recognize any of these people, or are one of the people in these photos, that you contact police either through the website, www.DawsonCreekBombings.com   or by calling the dedicated tip line at 1-866-994-7473 or call Crimestoppers at 1-800-822-TIPS.

In a statement delivered this morning, the RCMP say they want to reach the people who know, or have suspicions, about the bomber. “Experience in these matters has shown that when the person is apprehended there will be a group of family, friends, co-workers or acquaintances who either knew directly or had made numerous observations that, if reported, would have helped stop the bomber.

Investigators are confident that the person or persons exploding these bombs is from the local area and has a grievance with EnCana. They will have talked about those grievances to someone, possibly advocating or threatening violent action. This person will have knowledge of and possibly access to explosives.

So far, only property damage has occurred. But protecting the person responsible by remaining silent, or failing to notify police of your suspicions, only enables the bomber to continue. In the event of serious injuries or death, their lives, and the lives of their families, and the lives of the victims families, are all ruined. It is important, as a community, that we all become involved. It is important, as a community, that we urge support for those who have information to act now.”

How did they decide these were the suspicious 8?
I do hope someone comes forward. I'm sure we all have loved ones, or know someone who does, working in the industry who could be affected by these bombing.
