Prince George, B.C.- The price of a  litre of regular gas has fallen another two cents.  It now sits at 77.9 cents a litre.

The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives  Gas Gouge Meter indicates  that price is below what it should be:

"Your gas prices are 5.7¢ per litre below the normalized cost of 83.9¢ per litre in Prince George

With today's crude oil price of $46.28 USD per barrel and the US dollar at $1.25 CAD, the price of regular unleaded gasoline in Prince George should be 83.9¢ per litre at normal profit margins."

Considering we were way above the normalized cost for so long it is nice to see that we are getting a break...
In other news, gas is indeed cheaper but everything else is still expensive.
With these prices so ridiculously low, I pay inside and leave an extra $3 for a fill-up on the counter. I don't want to see people go out of business.
Apparently it is 67.2 in some stations in Toronto and 66.8 in Ottawa, 68.0 in Edmonton
Okay. I am not going to leave $3 anymore. We're being ripped off, even by that normallizing BS evaluation system. Can we protest to someone who cares?
can you fiddle the figures using the same eqaution to get a guys mortgage down a bit?
Why is it that it takes so long to go down, but so fast to go up? One cent or two downwards - six/ten upwards.
Maybe someone out there knows the answer!!
I heard somewhere that for every one cent increase at the pumps, without an increase in the cost of a barrel gives the gas companies one million dollars clear profit a day...
that could be a really good reason that the prices stay high so long...of course the government gets their share as well so they are happy even if we aren't.

Complain? who too....gas companies sure don't care, government doesn't either...gas stations are caught in between us and the gas companies and they can't do much either. And here we need gas and they know it....so we get the end of the stick so to speak...

But i am happy to see it go down even a penny or two....
I like paying only $32.00 to fill our cars a while back $40.00 only gave 1/2 a tank. We need a break for something instead of paying through our teeth a for everything. Alberta is getting mad because the rich are getting poorer good for them it is time the big oil bucks got taken away for a while, they tell everyone else to tighten their belts well time for them to see how we have to live on less wages and no jobs.
When will the cost of diesel come down? (more than the little it has dropped)
Truckers' operating costs have not dropped much ergo the prices we pay for delivered goods continue to have fuel surcharges.
metalman.
I wanna go down south in six months in my car. I figure gas will be up to about a buck thirty starting in April or May. Betcha. They work on volume.
