The new Centre for the North will provide residents of northern B.C. with increased access to cancer treatment and diagnostic services. The cancer centre will be located on the Prince George Regional Hospital site. The 4,200-square-metre facility will

Can't be quick enought
kinda curious on where they plan on putting it and where they plan on parking staff and client vehicles, I wonder what the Hospital Maintenace Employees think of some outside outfit (ACML, Johnson and Honeywell) about running the facility ..

this would be a step towards the 3P program like in Vernon and Kelowna where the employees were laid off and hired by the winner for More hourly wage but 0 benifits and no Vacation time
you got bowzone, contract it all out to save money, but the only way they save is to cut benefits to the employees. It is called a P3 and has time and time again not worked out for the benefit of the taxpayer. Trouble is our government likes to give money to big business as the taxpayer pool is endless.
3P? Is that 3 guys peeing?

It seems to me that if the government puts all its eggs in one basket in the next 10 years or so, we could be in for a project meltdown the same as the financiers have managed to do with the western world economies.

Never good to put all eggs in one basket in case you trip.
gus, the meltdown is because in the states, there is very little rules in banking thus, they were loaning money to people who did not even have a job. Remember those get quick schemes on infomercials, where they were bragging about howmuch money they made in real estate. Guess what, their little party is over.

Too bad the rest of the world got caught with the bad mortgages out in the finance market.
My money is going to be on the Stuart Olsen group.
The important member of the group is Innisfee Ltd. which is a British investment company who are providing the funding for the project. They just got their first Canadian project this year - Royal Jubilee in Victoria, 500 bed patient bed extension.

About 60% of their 8 billion pound investments are in health care facilties a pretty sure bet to be in.

My bet: Northern Gateway Health. Sound local enough for me.
The same key players assembled a team called ISL Health for a winning bid at the Victoria 500 bed hospital expansion. (ISL=Island)

Notice that two of the teams have identified law firms associated with them.

Here is the same team with different architects. In our case, if they win, Vermeulen from Toronto will likely be the lead design architects since they have designed several successful cancer clinics since 2000
