I guess we could go to this non governmental organization on one knee and see what kind of token gifts they have available for our community in exchange for our support for their big 'private' party on our dime down in the Lower Mainland.

IMO we need to compete with VANOC 2010 in presenting our own draw for tourism dollars in the year 2010. We should view the 2010 Olympics as the centerpiece in a competition of competing pavilions in a province wide kind of tourism Expo.

In this reguard Prince George, and the North in general, are starting off from a handicap.

The biggest handicap is that we do not have a unified slogan and brand to identify what our competing services are to the potential 2010 tourist looking for the BC experience. Its a handicap of our own making, but can be overcome if we focus on our oportunities competing for tourists in 2010 that can define our marketing brand.

My suggestion would be: Eco-tourism 2010
ONE WORD;

NOTHING!
