Dunster, B.C. - The Dunster Fine Arts School is getting $15,000 in provincial funding to make playground improvements.

The Dunster Fine Arts School Parent Advisory Council is receiving additional funding to compliment the previously announced $5,000 for the creation of a new playground according to Prince George-Mt. Robson MLA Shirley Bond.

"We know how hard the Dunster PAC and community have worked to raise playground funds.  We wanted all PACs to be treated equitably so we are adding additional funding to ensure that is the case.  Having a place for students and families to play is very important."

The playground money is offered through the community gaming grant program.  The maximum grant a PAC or service club can receive through the playground grant program is $20,000. Grants must be used to develop new or renovate existing school playgrounds including replacing old or purchasing new equipment.
