Prince George, B.C. - The District 57 Board of Education meets tonight for the first time this year.
Board Chair Lynn Hall says trustees will examine proposed changes to the district code of student conduct. One of the possible additions is wording on cyberbullying.
The board will also receive Superintendent Brian Pepper's report on achievement. The report is intended to ensure transparency and accountability in improving student achievement and provide a mid-year look by reflecting on progress.
Trustees will get a report from the district calendar committee. The proposed 2009/2010 school calendar for District 57 will be up for review. One recommendation is to have 2010 Spring Break coincide with the provincial Spring Break holidays.
Hall says the upcoming budget is also on the minds of trustees. He says the board will start to examine the 2009/2010 budget in the coming months.
