Northern Trust Talks to Regional District

The Executive Director of the Northern Trust Legacy addressed the final meeting of the Regional District before the civic election.

Janine Elo says the "Trust" would prefer public private partnerships when it comes to distributing dollars from the  legacy fund.  

She  says  Directors of the Trust would like local governments to screen proposals before they  are sent to the Northern Trust . 

Included in the Northern Trust Legacy is a 3 year strategic plan for the beetle recovery account. 

The Northern Trust received $135 million to be divided into four regions from the sale of BC Rail.
