Prince George, B.C. - City Council has given its blessing to a liquor license transfer within the downtown core.

The applicants want to transfer the liquor primary license from Joe's Place to Shooters Bar and Grill on Brunswick Street.

The move comes as Joe's place has been shut down and The Astoria Hotel is being turned into supportive housing and will see 187 fewer liquor primary seats in the downtown area, which councilor Garth Frizzell says is a good thing.

The owner of Shooters says there are no entertainment plans for exotic dancing at the Brunswick Street business.

Council voted in favour of the change, however final approval must come from the B.C. Liquor Licensing Board.

Where are folks going to go for their "culural" entertainment.

No more Bus, no more Joes?!?!?
It's time to start a shuttle service to Quesnel.
Shuttle service to Quesnel? More carbon footprints? Al Gore wouldn't like that. Maybe there would be some empty seats on the Northern Health bus. Could happen.
