They should of showed them holding their hands out recieving money from the gangs and then showed them with their hands up in defeat.
The war on gangs is non existant.

If they truly wanted to do something about them, all they need to do is legislate whatever law that needs to be put in place to actually do something.

Is it not already illegal to be a member of any gang in Canada? Not sure.

Round them up, lock them up and put an end to the Fn BS.

Pretty simple huh?
I saw the chief justice on the news yesterday explaining why he and the courts allow the gangs do what they do. The man is a real piece of work. Sure makes one wonder how much the government and justice system is infiltrated by crime. Just look at the raid on the legislature, what three years ago, and nothing has happened yet.

On the same note hier campbell's gag law restricting what can be said against him and his mafia leading up to the election comes into effect tomorrow. So much for democracy.

China has an interesting law that allows them to pick up anyone for anything and throw them into the slammer for three months without charges. This could be used for suspected gang members over here, but would never happen in our corrupted system.
War on gangs? In PG?
What about the "Crew's" clubhouse in South Fort George?
Remove the building and they will have a harder time gathering to plot and execute their nefarious plans.

This goes for the clubhouse or meeting place for every known gang in Canada.

This will never happen though, because the politicians do not have the spine to send the military in to do the job that the RCMP are not equipped to do.
Let's not forget the biggest gangs: banks, Government, and Big business
Gangs dont need a central location to do business...so taking away the "crews" house in south fort george is a waste of time. Bring in the military? Come on Loki. It takes the community as well as the RCMP to let these people know that they are not wanted here. Until PG decides as a whole that they've had enough - crime will continue.
Agred that they do not need a central location to conduct their business, but it would sure make things harder to conspire.

They do care if the community wants them or not, they will be here.
If a community is complacent enough to allow these groups to exist in the public eye, they will exist and flourish.
These are hardcore criminals the don't just do crime. They are full time criminals who exist solely and wholly from income derived from criminal activity and it is also their lifestyle. This criminal activity is to the detriment of other citizens.
The only way this problem will be solved will be to take off the kid gloves and quit being so nice about it. Kick their a$$es hard and fast showing no quarter.
If we continue the fight against gangs in the same manner as in the past, we will continue to have the status quo.
They do not care for citizen's rights, or what laws are enacted. They will only respond to force.
If we also make it such that the gang lifestyle is no longer appealing, the hangers on will also disappear. With out new members, these groups will evaporate.
That is the idea.

I am still convinced that gangs are in fact terrorist organizations and should be treated as such. One cannot be a victim of exportation or be "turned out" to prostitution without a significant amount of induced fear. By definition that is terrorism.
extortion not exportation
Awesome cartoon, pretty much sums it up.
To add to "seamutt's" part. I too saw Judge Stansfield being interviewed and it was very interesting that he "was not convinced" the bail reform system needs to be overhauled. He has become a product of our Court Bureaucracy system who forgets that we are in a democracy and if the statistics that were given last night over 80% of British Columbians do not have faith in our Justice system; Judge Stansfield better wake up and smell the roses along with the Attorney General. Maybe Judges should be elected?
As long as the BC economy relies heavily on drugs and illegal drug related activities [reportedly 1/3], there is no hope that the gangesters stop their activities in BC.

It is very surprising that other Canadian provinces can run their economy almost drug free, but BC with its very pleasent winter weather and access to the ocean cannot attract investment and industries.
